1) Attach your BlackBerry to your PC.
2) Launch the RIM Desktop Manager. This is software that came with your BlackBerry for installing applications
from your Windows PC to your BlackBerry.
3) Launch the Application Loader from inside the Desktop Manager.
4) Click the "Add..." button and specify the Application Loader File(.alx) that was in the unzipped file that you downloaded. The application should now appear in the list of items to install. Follow the instructions from there
to finish the installation and it should appear on your Blackberry.
TO UNINSTALL
Uninstall using the RIM Desktop Manager:
1) Connect your handheld to your PC and start up the Desktop Manager.
2) Launch the Application Manager from within Desktop Manager.
3) Click Next on the Welcome page
4) Uncheck the box next to the application you want to uninstall and then click the Next button.
5) Click Finish and the app will be uninstalled.

On your BlackBerry, go to Options > Advanced Options > Applications.
Scroll through the list and highlight the one you want to remove. Click on it, choose Delete.

When I try to install, I see the message, "No additional applications designed for your handheld were found".
There are 3 main reasons you might see it:
1) After you unzipped the file, you placed the .alx file and the .cod file in different directories. The zip archive contains both files, and both files must be in the same directory when you install the app to your BlackBerry from the Desktop Manager.
2) You don't have the latest version of the RIM Desktop Manager. You can get that here:

3) Even though you have the latest Desktop Manager, you still must install to your desktop the software that corresponds to your device. RIM calls this the handheld software. Here is a link to a list of various carriers where you can download the appropriate software for your device:
